Liveable Arlington is a grassroots environmental advocacy organization - founded and led by residents in Arlington, Texas. The city of 400,000 is a major fossil fuel producer and a hub of "urban drilling" - saturated with fracking sites and associated infrastructure to extract methane gas
Decisions about the extraction and consumption of fossil fuels have severe impacts on our children's health and well being now by forcing them to grow up in polluted communities, and in the future, when they will contend with the climate crisis.​​
We organize to protect Arlington's children whose health and safety is endangered
by the city's reckless expansion of fracking
for LNG exports.
We offer educational events, and a host
of resources for residents.

We advocate for stricter regulation of existing fracking and a just and rapid transition to clean energy to protect community health and a liveable climate.
