Clean Air • Clean Water • A Liveable Future
Liveable Arlington is a grassroots environmental advocacy organization - founded and led by residents in Arlington, Texas. The city of 400,000 is a major fossil fuel producer and a hub of "urban drilling" - saturated with fracking sites to extract methane gas. Industry describes their operations here as, "We went and carpet bombed this place with drill sites".
This has severe impacts on the health and well being of Arlington's children. They grow up around toxic pollution linked to many fold increases in childhood cancers, asthma, poor birth outcomes. In the future they will also contend with the climate crisis which is being accelerated by fracking.

We organize to protect Arlington's children whose health and safety is endangered
by the city's reckless expansion of fracking for LNG exports. We offer a host of resources for residents and educational events.
.
We advocate for stricter regulation of existing fracking and a just and rapid
transition to clean energy to protect
community health and a liveable climate.
